Grounding Through Chaos, Cultivating Community (A DEI Brunch)
This event had passed but to be notified of future events, please fill out our DEI brunch interest form!
Saturday, April 26 | 10am-12pm
Peaches Grand β’ 285 Grand Ave β’ Brooklyn
Remember the last time you felt truly heard? When your challenges as a DEI advocate weren't just understood but deeply felt by others around you? When innovation flowed from connection rather than isolation?
That's exactly what we're creating.
An intimate gathering of no more than 12 changemakers. A table at a renowned Black-owned restaurant in the heart of Clinton Hill. Real conversations that matter.
No PowerPoints. No forced networking. Just the kind of authentic exchange that reminds you why you do this work in the first place.
This is your invitation to:
Find grounding when everything feels uncertain
Share unfiltered truths about your DEI journey
Connect with peers who understand exactly what you're navigating
Leave feeling replenished rather than depleted
Hosted by Malaika Aaron Bishop (she/her) and LaVoya βVβ Woods (ve/ver) of Co-Creating Inclusion, this Saturday morning gathering is designed as the breath of fresh air we all desperately need.
$50 covers your delicious brunch (including tax and tip for up to three menu items). Vegetarian options are available. We're limiting attendance to three people maximum from any single organization to ensure diverse perspectives.
We canβt wait to see you there!
Note: Alethea Cheng Fitzpatrick (she/her) had planned on co-hosting but unfortunately has come down with covid. While disappointed not to be able to make it, she is excited for everyone to meet Malaika and V and will be there in spirit as well as behind the scenes.
