Work and life, an integration

This year’s NYC high school application process closed a couple of days ago, marking one year since I went through the process with my oldest son and was reflecting on willful negligence.

A few months later, the results were released, leading me to reflect on whether hard work should be rewarded.

Having a son in high school has turned out to be a whole lot less stressful (so far!) than having a son applying to high school. Functioning systems can surprisingly contribute to inclusion and accessibility.

One of the things I’ve found so fascinating about parenting is how relevant the lessons learned are to work life and vice versa. I love being able to bring all aspects of my identify and self to all aspects of my life.

How are you integrating different parts of your life? What are some of the through lines or common lessons or principles?
